So you want to get fast, accurate weather data on your Treo . . How should you do it? Well, one way would be to go online with the Treo's data connection and surf a site like Weather.com or Accu-weather. Or if you use a mobile site such as Google's Mobile web, you can grab it that way. But there are some specific applications out there that do a pretty nifty job of pulling your personal weather data on the fly. Many for FREE! I am going to highlight a couple of them . . . - Boopsie: I have talked about this app before! An incredible little app that does much more than weather but does a great job of pulling weather data for you.
- Kmeteo: This one is limited as it only gives you a graphical 10 day view with not a lot of forecasting, but its simple and fast!
- Treoalarm: This app is my favorite app! Currently its offered for free as its not being supported at this time. But this is a complete and solid Weather grabber for your Treo. In fact, you don't even have to ask it to grab your weather. You can tell it to grab the weather at certain times. Out of these free alternatives, this is the app that I prefer to use for my weather updates!
I have only mentioned a few of the apps here that are capable of retrieving your weather! There are some nice apps out there that aren't free and might be worth checking out. Look for another article sometime in the future when I explore these!
