So Palm is in the hole this quarter! The three reasons they gave are: - Palm failed to qualify "a product that the company had previously expected to have certified within the quarter.
- it said in its statement. It had higher-than-expected warranty expenses. (you got a 680 coming back that I purchased Friday that was DOA by the way)
- higher-than-expected shipments of Palm's new Centro smartphone meant that the average selling prices of its products fell.
Palm, I am pulling for you, I really am! But I am still doubting that you can turn this thing around! The Centro is a hit! Don't ask me how, but it is! But your bread and butter isn't a ten year old OS! Its somewhere in the future, and you have basically stagnated both your hardware and your OS! My question: Just what is this product that you expected to have certified? Let me guess: A Centro in Purple! A Treo 755 in Pink?
