I was very skepical of this, but it and the camera patch posted in this thread really seems to have made a big difference in my Battery life! I have only lost 15% battery life in almost 4 hours with minimal use. Before, I was losing 10-12% per hour not even using it! Disable any background app before starting. This is critical! Chatter, Treoalarm, and quicknews were the three I had to turn off. SET them to off, because you will be resetting the device a couple of times in this process. Please follow the steps below to solve the issue: 1. Connect your Treo to a wall charger. 2. Remove the battery from the Treo and wait for at least one minute. 3. Remove the SIM card from the device and wait for another minute. 4. Put the battery back into the device (without the SIM card) then let your Treo charge for at least 4 to 6 hours and for this duration: - Do NOT switch your TREO On or Off either, it will do so automatically after a short time.
- Do NOT enter the SIM card PIN if prompted to do so, just wait!
After this procedure, which can be performed and repeated any time, you will now dispose of the full charging capacity and the display of the remaining battery power will work correctly.”
Courtesy of Treonauts I can tell a huge difference since resetting the battery meter and applying this patch! I am losing about 12-14% battery every 4-5 hours now vs the 10-12% per hour I had been losing . . .

I found this one over at EverythingTreo! If your wondering what Cell Service is, in a particular area, go to http://antennasearch.com and type in the address. It will come back showing you what is available within a 4 mile radius. It breaks it down into 100′ towers, 200′ towers and towers with multiple antennas, along with who owns them! When looking for a particular carrier, this could be very valuable information . . |

About Me |
|
I am a middle aged guy who finds much pleasure in today's technology. Once upon a time I kept a blog about mobile tech, a web site that featured my bike rides, and then a personal site where I shared photos and videos, basically of Family. After a time, I decided it made much more sense to combine all those sites into one. But what to call it? Well, not very creatively, this site became "just duke". Just stuff I am interested in and try to follow. By day I work for a large chemical company, and by night I play bass in a Christian Rock band. But every day I check out the web sites following the trends around mobile devices. When I have time, I enjoy designing Templates for Joomla and Wordpress. You can download those here on this site! Just click on "Just Templates on the left. |
